When used correctly, sanitizers can reduce germs on a surface by at least 99.9%. Disinfectants work to effectively kill a broad range of germs and viruses. They can be applied to larger surfaces such as floors, countertops, and other hard surfaces. They can also be applied to any common touchpoints such as doorknobs, handles, and keyboards.
At Tanler Termite and Pest Control, we are highly-trained and licensed in the use of Nisus DSV to sanitize and disinfect the surfaces in your home or business. Nisus DSV is a broad spectrum disinfectant, sanitizer, virucide, and deodorizer. It is labeled to kill dozens of strains of viruses and bacteria.
According to the label, the EPA has determined that Nisus DSV is effective against SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19. However, Nisus DSV does NOT prevent the disease COVID-19.
When applied properly, the product label claims that Nisus DSV will kill 100% of all bacteria and viruses on a surface.

What is the Sanitizing and Disinfecting Process?
We use a four-step process:
- Conduct a free inspection of the home or business to provide an accurate estimate for sanitizing and disinfection.
- Thorough application of Nisus DSV to all appropriate surfaces.
- Careful inspection of the application to ensure surfaces remains wet for a minimum of 10 minutes for 100% control.
- Wipe down all surfaces treated to remove any remaining moisture to allow you to enter your home or business as quickly as possible.
How long does it take?
Each job is different depending on the size of the environment and the number and type of items involved. After inspecting your home or business we can make a recommendation and give you the approximate time it will take for a complete treatment.
When can I come back?
We recommend that you stay out for at least one hour after we’re finished. This will allow all surfaces to dry completely. All treated surfaces will be wiped down prior to leaving to assist with the drying process.
Is there a residual after the sanitizing and disinfection process?
There is NO residual protection after the process so the process does not prevent future contamination or infections.
Is the product safe for my family and pets?
Once Nisus DSV dries, it is not airborne, there is no residual. After 10 minutes of residency with the product, the disinfection process is complete. Any surfaces found to be wet in your home should be left to dry or wiped down with a dry rag. Nisus DSV is labeled for use in homes, hospitals, medical and dental offices, healthcare facilities, nursing homes, physician offices, radiology rooms, isolation wards, quarantine areas, hospices, and much more.
Can I put food on my tables and countertops after treatment?
Food prep areas must be rinsed and cleaned after treatment in accordance with the Nisus DSV label.
Will this prevent me from getting COVID-19?
NO. While sanitizing and disinfecting can help minimize the exposure to possibly getting COVID-19 in the areas treated, our services Do NOT prevent against someone getting the COVID-19 virus.

Will the products used cause any staining?
The product itself does not typically stain. However, in some cases you may notice a slight residue that can easily be cleaned off with a wet rag.
Will it leave an odor in my house?
Nisus DSV has a slight citrus odor scent. This scent will dissipate over the course of 24 hours. Nisus DSV is also used as a deodorizer for garbage cans, smoke damage, and other sources of unpleasant odors.
Henry and Anthony worked hard to treat these challenging areas, and they are excellent communicators so things went smoothly.
Instead he suggested that we could treat the affected areas locally in order to save money and not cause damage to the foliage around the property.
